Andrew Whitman

Andrew joined the Meta Centre Board of Directors in 2025. He brings over a decade of experience across social services, research, and program development in Ontario’s public and nonprofit sectors. His work spans frontline support and case management through to research and leadership roles at leading organizations including the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), Pine River Institute, the Canadian Cancer Society, and Homewood Health. He also contributed to provincial case management programming during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andrew has direct experience building and delivering programming, notably at Queen’s University where he led applied partnerships connecting students with industry and nonprofit organizations. He has also driven national and international projects in evaluation, digital communications, and emergency response through his roles with Pop Sandbox, the Canadian Red Cross, and other organizations.

He holds a BA in Psychology from Queen’s University, a specialization in Media Psychology (Neuroscience), and is nearing completion of his MA in Applied Media Psychology at Fielding University, where his research focuses on the intersection of neuroscience, media, and human behaviour. Outside of work, Andrew is an active volunteer dedicated to strengthening communities and supporting inclusion and well-being.
