Giuliana Minardi, ICD.D, MBA

As SVP Operational Risk Management, Giuliana Minardi was specifically tapped to develop an operational risk framework for the Group Risk Management Platform at RBC at the enterprise level. She provided transformational leadership in implementing and executing leading practices in independent risk oversight and governance at a global level for RBC.

Prior to this position, Ms. Minardi was Managing Director with RBC Capital Markets, responsible for RBC Financial Group’s Global Wholesale loan portfolio credit risk exposure management function and its centralized service delivery functions. Over the years, she has strived to deliver best in class management and operational solutions by establishing clear accountability for a team of highly specialized professionals, and built a committed and divers work force through performance management and a superior work environment.

Since joining RBC in the Financial Management program in 1992, Ms. Minardi has steadily increased her responsibilities in senior management roles. Her positions have covered a broad range of disciplines including Financial Management & Reporting, Commercial Real Estate Banking, Risk Management, Strategic & Financial Planning, Operations, and Recruitment.

Ms. Minardi holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal.

Ms. Minardi currently serves on the Board of Directors for Meta Centre and holds the position of Vice President and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee. In the interest of continuing her education, in September 2019 she obtained her ICD.D Designation.
